WHF offers Pony Rides and Lessons 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lessons are often booked in advance by regular clients, so check the calendar for openings or cancellations. Please note that we do not offer lessons for adults, only children.

Please see calendar for pricing. Rates are based on number of ponies used as well as number of children visiting. Guests may double up and bring a friend to split the ride. Younger children generally like to spend half the time riding and half petting the other animals. Sharing the ride with friends is the most economical way to visit!

Visits include grooming and riding the ponies, greeting the donkey, feeding the goats and alpacas, trying to catch the bunnies and guinea pigs, petting a kitty, as well as admiring the turkeys and chickens.

Pony Rides and Lessons use either Sophie or Cinnamon and are planned based on the child’s age and experience. The ponies are tacked up with surcingles, bareback pads or saddles depending on the skill of the rider.

Rides are given both in our arena and around the property and repeat guests may request to ride our local loop in Tuna Canyon park.

Pony rides are given by our Junior Barn Helpers so they may earn money to put towards their own goals and dreams. We have two knowledgeable Junior Barn Helpers who you can read more about HERE

WHF also encourages riding as therapy for children with physical disabilities or special needs, so please let us know your situation to determine if we can be of service to you.
