Equus Coaching ~ Week 1
In the spirit of virtual experiencing, we made our first Equus Coaching video today to be used on a zoom call this weekend. The criteria was just to try and ālet the horses be themselvesā. Am excited to hear how the session goes and which parts of the horses doing they thing resonated with people the most.
Preschool Video ~ Week 5
Sprinkler Time
With the summer heat comes a very dusty arena. We donāt use the water much, but always a little before dragging it. This was the first time the horses were in the arena at the same time and I donāt think they minded it at all!
Spirit's 4th Birthday
Happy Birthday to our beautiful pony Spirit! We had a party from quarantine and everyone had a great day!

Preschool Video ~ Week 1
With the closure of nearly everything during the Covid-19 pandemic the children of Claudiaās āThe Love Schoolā preschool have not been able to come for their weekly visit with the animals. To try and give the kids a small sense of their normal routine, we have made a video each week they have been away for them to see the furry creatures they miss and love. This video is week one of filming.
Hudson and Luke Riding
Beekeeping by Beecaso
See the latest on Steve and his bees š. Even though most of the video is in French, parts of it are in English as well. We are honored to be chosen to house so many of his hives!
Henry and Henrietta
Because of the recent outbreak of Newcastle disease found to affect some of Californiaās poultry, these two ducks have spent the first few months of their lives living in quarantine in a dry area with no pond or water in which to swim. Today changed all that! Makes us happy to give them a swimming area of their own. Now we just have to keep the safe from predatorsā¦.which is a whole different story!
Roman Riding
Kansas is here this week with her fabulous girls and they are trying Sovvers and Sequoia out with a little Roman Riding (as well as Trick Riding!).
This is only the horses second time doing itā¦..we are so proud of them!
Rainy Day in December
Opal and the Sunset
Does it get any prettier than this? Nature is superb.
Lisa and Little Miss on the Beach
When we went to Loon Point to bring the horses to the beach a few weekends ago, we happened to meet a lovely woman named Lisa.
Lisa was driving to visit her mother in Santa Barbara and suddenly felt the urge to stop en route to walk on the same beach she had brought her best friend of 35 years, a white horse named Little Miss, five years prior.
Little Miss was 30 years old when she headed to the beach to play in the water on the very same strip of sand where Lisa found us. They had a magical day together all those years ago, and so we all agreed that it simply had to be Little Miss who whispered in Lisaās ear getting to pull over so she could remember that special moment and watch other horses and humans playing the way they had done. What a beautiful gift she gave to her beloved human Mama!
A few weeks later Lisa reached out to me to express the magic of that day for her, and I just read the post that she wrote about her life and farewell to Little Miss on Memorial Day of 2017.
Many amazing paragraphs later, and after five minutes of wiping away my own tears after reading her beautiful and touching storyā¦..I would like to share Lisa and Little Misses post here as well. So bring out the box of Kleenex and enjoy the journey as I just did!
Equus Coaching with Frida and Sophie Pony
First Time to the Beach!
A picture is worth 1000 words.
What a lovely first time to the beach we all had today!
Must repeat again and again and again..!!
Hoof Trimming
Oh how super important it is to maintain good hoof care in a horse! Look at how Sphinx arrived to usā¦..versus how he is today. Thank you again, Martine!
October Birthday Celebrations
The weekend weather was so perfect and the children so sweet and fun that we wanted to share a few photos from Octoberās parties.
Plusā¦..the cupcakes at the Saturday party were so amazingly beautiful (and delicious!) that we want to recommend them to our local community as well.
The business is called āCalabasas Cupcake Companyā and their bite size beauties were simply superb!
